If you’re serious about changing your job and your career path it is never too late. It is not uncommon to find yourself in a job that no longer makes you jump out of bed in the morning. Maybe you fell into a job that isn’t the right match or you’ve been doing it for so long, you need a total change. Either way change is possible and it’s never too late. Today the job market has changed and you’re no longer expected to sit in the same job for 50 years. Change is and can be great. 
Follow your passion
There is famous and widely acknowledged philosophy that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. If you’re going to go to all the effort to change your career, make sure you dive headfirst into something you love. What is your unique selling point, the secret sauce that you can give to the world? The world of working today is so much more varied than every before. If you love traveling and food, find a way to do just that.
Set the scene while you work
Don’t just go into the office tomorrow and quit you job without any preparation or planning. If you’re able to stick it out in your old job for a few more weeks you should start developing new skills and putting some money aside before jumping ship. Perhaps even book some holiday days to take a course or do an brief internship.
Research
The more you know and the more you prepare, the better the outcome is likely to be. Read, research, study, ask questions, network, do whatever you have to do to make sure you’re fully prepared. Ask friends in the same industry for advice, people are always willing to share their expertise. Career change can be daunting but if you do as much research as possible, it’ll be worth it.

The road may be scary and bumpy and take you totally out of your comfort zone but if you do something you love, it will be 100% worth it.
