Tech4Africa – Johannesburg – 8-9 October 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tech, Networking, Fun. That\u2019s the strap line for this year’s event, and from looks of what the lovely people at Tech4Africa<\/a> have in store for Johannesburg on the 8th<\/sup> and 9th<\/sup> of October, it’s going to be pretty spectacular. Fresh off the back of successful events in Lagos, Nairobi and Cape Town, Tech4Africa is looking to add another feather to its cap as it celebrates its 5th<\/sup> Birthday. It is the first conference in the continent to offer technical workshops and informative talks from specialist practitioners. Their vision is to create a technology ecosystem where it is easy to network, learn, be inspired and most importantly to have fun. Their plan is to unite as many people with products and projects as possible, fostering a culture where idea generation comes naturally to the area. We can’t help but feel it would be physically impossible to fit any more action into such a short amount of time. The two day technological bonanza, being held at the SciBono Discovery Centre, Newtown, will be jam packed from 9 am to 6 pm. In fact there is so much going on that they need 10 rooms to accommodate all of the 85 speakers coming to impart their wisdom. The conference boasts a demo area, a cloud room, a hacker space, an electronics showcase, a space for\u00a03D printers, vacuum formers, robots, flying things, solar & green innovations and even a bring-your-own product showcase where your own inventions can be shown off.<\/p>\n
