Our client in the packaging industry requires a Sales and Warehouse Supervisor to join their team in Port Elizabeth

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining customer satisfaction with regional customers while sourcing new customers in conjunction with the Regional ASM.

  • Employee will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, including people management and reporting for the warehouse facility.
  • Communicate with customers to update them on the status of their orders. At VDBP the planners will communicate with customers once orders have been placed in the system.
  • Liaise with allocated customers for daily call offs.
  • Interact with factory to ensure customer prioritisation is reflected in the production plan.
  • In conjunction with Internal Sales, build the daily Load Plan taking into consideration customer expectations and submit timeously to relevant parties.
  • Notify the relevant account manager should a problem be encountered with an order.
  • Maintain accurate records and compile reports when required while ensuring all monthly reports are submitted on time.
  • Attend daily production meetings and sales team meetings as requested, attend site SOP meetings as and when required. Ensure all monthly reports are submitted.
  • Liaison with transporter on orders delivered in the Eastern Cape region.
  • Communicate new item requests and business partner requests on the ERP system as per the SBP for allocated customer accounts.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and developing the market in close cooperation with the Regional ASM.
  • Optimise customer portfolio (Profitability focus).
  • Strict observation of governance requirements related to external communication and conduct
  • Ensure stock is managed and accounted for at all times
  • Ensure NCRs are submitted to the SHEQ team with supporting evidence (i.e. photographs, returning the drum to the factory for investigation)
  • Ensure full compliance to all national OHSA Act requirements and Occupational Health and Safety regulations and policies.
  • Responsible and accountable for maintenance of the ā€œ5 sā€™ā€ in your department.
  • Action all Internal and External Safety Audit action plans relating to your section.
  • Manage direct reports according to the basic employment regulations, company policy and prescribed demonstrated HR and operations best practices (absenteeism, safety, Production and quality procedures, grievances etc.)

Expertise

  • Aptitude for sales and CRM
  • Basic understanding of sales measurement and reporting systems

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Manufacturing environment advantageous
  • Ideally 2 years supervision experience.

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
  • Sales / Marketing diploma (preferred)

Languages

  • High level of spoken and written English; adequate Afrikaans; ability to converse in Xhosa an advantage.

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft office essential
  • Good understanding of ERP systems.
